The
Shurgard Self Storage Buildings on Hampden Avenue consists
of a five building complex. The first three buildings, each
averaging 3,500 Sq. Ft. , are self contained with exterior
overhead doors for individual access. The fourth building
is a 22,000 Sq. Ft. two storage building with temperature
controlled HVAC, an elevator system, and security controlled
exterior doors. The fifth building is a 17,000 Sq. Ft. walk-in
with security controlled exterior doors., and a 750 Sq. Ft.
retail leasing office. The construction is a CMU bearing wall
with a metal building roof structure. |

The
Shurgard Storage Center at the Denver Tech Centeris a revolutionary
concept for Shurgard. Constructed as a three story self contained
building, all 485 storage units are housed within the building
having no exterior storage door openings. The third floor
and basement area are temperature controlled for maximum flexibility.
The construction of the is unique in that we used a structural
brick system and a steel stud metal panel with an EFIS system
with a metal building interior partition and roof system. |

The
Indian Tree Animal Hospital services the Arvada area for its
emergency animal care needs. The function of the facility
lent itself to the design of seperation betwee areas. The
left wing houses the 35 kennels, 5 exams rooms, surgery rooms,
and the dog grooming room. The right wing houses the private
section of the facility such as reception, document storage,
labs, medical drug storage, and offices. The dramatic octagonal
lobby provides seperation from the dogs and cats and provides
retail space for animal food, collars, and a book area. |
